Every Golfers Dream “The Magic Putter”

Welcome to the world of the “Magic Putter“.

My name is Tim Holman. Twenty seven years ago in 1985 Brian Stack and I wrote the Stack-Holman theory of Switch Putting. Five years later in 1990, we wrote the Art and Science of Switch Putting, with a foreword by our first PGA tour Switch Putter, Roger Maltbie.

In 1992 Stanford golf coach Wally Goodwin asked Brian Stack and I to give a Switchputting clinic to the Stanford golf team. Notah Begay asked us to teach him how to switchputt. A little over a year later Notah led the Stanford golf team to the NCAA championship and set the NCAA championship all time record of 10 under par 62. He made 9 birdie putts of 10 feet or longer. He also shot 13 under par 59 for the alltime Nationwide record. He won 4 tour events in an eleven month span in 2000 Proving once and for all that switch putting is viable option for any golfer.                                                                            The problem we had wasn’t with the theory, it was the lack of quality 2 sided putters. So in 1989 we set about to make a better option for Switch Putters. The original Stack-Holman Switch Putter was used by Roger Maltbie on the PGA tour for 9 events. In the year 2000 I designed the Holman-Kreske Switch Putter. made by a fine young putter maker, David Kreske of AMC manufacturing.

After reading a New York times article by Larry Dorman titled “From left to right, the putt most feared”, in May 2011, I felt the the world of golf really needed a higher quality Switch Putter. Eight months later,

I give you the “MAGIC SWITCH PUTTER”.

3 Options

Why should I learn to Switch putt?

Because 43 percent of golf is putting, and slightly less than half of all putts are those that break away. Those little putts that break away are the major putting weakness for most golfers. Converting a weakness to a strength improves scores significantly.
